Danbury Symphony Orchestra

The Danbury Symphony Orchestra performs a wide spectrum of works from symphonic literature. The DSO performs 3 concerts per season and provides music for the Danbury Music Centre’s production of The Nutcracker ballet, playing Tchaikovsky’s complete score. The DMC Nutcracker is one of few productions in the state of Connecticut with a live orchestra. DSO members also collaborate with the Danbury Concert Chorus for its annual performance of Handel’s Messiah.

Auditions for new members will be held on a rolling basis. There are currently openings in all string sections. Auditions for other sections are for the sublist only at this time.
