Music Centre Spotlight

Donald-Tweedy
FUNDRAISER

In 1935, Donald N. Tweedy founded the Danbury Music Centre to elevate musical education and bring high-quality performances to our community. His early efforts laid the groundwork for what would become a vibrant cultural institution.

Now in our 90th season, the Danbury Music Centre continues to thrive with programs that serve musicians of all ages and skill levels. Our programs have grown to include the Danbury Concert Chorus, Danbury Symphony Orchestra, Danbury Community Orchestra, DMC Community Band, Danbury Centre Strings, Summer Bands, Summer Strings, Chamber Music Intensive, and our annual performances of The Nutcracker.

To continue this tradition for the next 90 years, your support is more vital than ever. As we face rising costs, your donation helps cover crucial needs such as concert venues, advertising, professional directors, sheet music, and scholarships for young musicians to participate in our Summer Enrichment and Danbury Centre Strings programs.

Every contribution, large or small, makes a difference in ensuring that Donald N. Tweedy’s legacy lives on.
