Snowflake Chorus Auditions

The Danbury Music Centre is auditioning soprano and alto singers only, grades 3 -12, for our 2024 Nutcracker Ballet performances. The audition piece for everyone is Happy Birthday. Singers may be asked to sing a scale and match pitches.
When: Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 4-5:30 pm. Please arrive anytime within that time frame.
Where: Danbury Music Centre, 256 Main Street, Danbury, CT 06810
Please use the rear entrance of the building. Parking is available in the Bardo Parking Garage directly behind the DMC on Library Place. There is also metered parking on Main Street.
If you sang in the Snowflake Chorus in 2023, there is no need for you to audition again unless you have had a voice change. Returning singers please register here.
Rehearsal Dates:
Singers must attend a minimum of 3 rehearsals and the dress rehearsal.
Rehearsals are at the Danbury Music Centre (except for the Dress Rehearsal)
Monday, November 11, from 5:45 pm – 6:45 pm
Monday, November 18, from 5:45 – 6:45 pm
Monday, November 25, from 5:45 pm – 6:45 pm
Monday, December 2, from 6:15 pm – 6:45 pm
and from 7:30 pm – 7:45 pm (with the orchestra)
Saturday, December 7, from 9 am – 10 am
Dress Rehearsal at Danbury High School – mandatory-
Thursday, December 12, from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at Danbury High School
2024 Nutcracker Performance Dates
Friday, December 13 at 7:30 pm
Saturday, December 14 at 3 pm
Sunday, December 15 at 3 pm
The Snowflake Chorus appears during the Snow Scene at the end of Act I.
If you are a dancer in Act I, please contact the Company Manager at danburynutcracker@gmail.com to make sure that you are able to be in the chorus.
