Danbury Symphony Orchestra -1935
In celebration of the Danbury Music Centre’s 90th anniversary, the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Ariel Rudiakov, presents a program of works written and premiered in 1935, the year the Danbury Music Centre was founded. This concert will offer a glimpse into the sound world of that era, highlighting the music that shaped the cultural landscape when our community tradition of music-making began. The program will feature a rousing overture from one of the first works every performed by the Danbury Symphony, Rachmaninoff ‘s Symphonic Dances, Gershwin and more!
Admission is free. Donations to support the programs of the Danbury Music Centre will be gratefully accepted at the door.
