Danbury Community Orchestra: Foreshadowing Beethoven

Before Beethoven changed the course of symphonic music, composers like Luigi Cherubini and Étienne-Nicolas Méhul were already writing music with the kind of drama and energy that we attribute to the music of Beethoven.  This program features Cherubini’s Fanska Overture and Méhul’s Symphony No. 1 in G Minor.
