Alison Corigliano received her Bachelor of Music, cum laude, in violin performance from Western Connecticut State University in 2001, where she studied under Eric Lewis of the Manhattan String Quartet. Since then, she has taught at the Wooster School, Canterbury School, and New Fairfield Public Schools. Mrs. Corigliano is currently the strings teacher and orchestra director at the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School in Newtown, CT and maintains a busy private studio in her home teaching violin, viola and beginning cello, helping her students achieve their goals and foster a love for playing music. She has been with the DMC’s Summer Strings program since 1999, and is happy to return again this year! In addition to teaching, Mrs. Corigliano plays violin with the Danbury Symphony Orchestra and several chamber groups for events throughout CT and NY.
