The Thrill of the Orchestra! Danbury Symphony Orchestra, Young People’s Concert

A free concert for all ages!

The Danbury Symphony Orchestra performs it’s annual Young People’s Concert. This family-friendly concert is sure to please the young and young at heart!

 

 

The winner of our Student Concerto Competition, Alison Shively will perform the first movement of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D Major Op. 35 with the DSO.

 

The DSO also performs Russell Peck’s, The Thrill of the Orchestra,  an exciting work with narrator which colorfully illustrates the instruments of the orchestra.

 

 

 

DSO favorite, pianist and radio personality Will Duchon, joins us as narrator

 

The Danbury Centre Strings will start the concert off in their usual fun style!

 

Admission is free thanks to the generous funding of the City of Danbury and the Danbury Cultural Commission
