Charles Ives Concert Series: Celestial Mechanics
August 8 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm EDT
The Danbury Music Centre presents Charles Ives Concert Series: Celestial Mechanics
Featuring Our Summer 2019 Artist-Faculty and Guest Artists
Join us for a program inspired by George Crumb’s masterpiece, Celestial Mechanics, a four-hands work which closes the program performed by Mika Sasaki and George Fu. Preceding that work is music written about the heavens, the sky, an ascent, or a similar thematic idea. This includes music by our 2019 composer-in-residence Robert Paterson, 2019 call for scores winner Hannah Lipton, Jared Miller, Augusta Read Thomas, and the two artistic directors, Paul Frucht and Jon Cziner.

Location: Marian Anderson Recital Hall at the Danbury Music Centre
Tickets: $20 online, $25 at the door, $10 for seniors, students, and children. General Admission. Free for all CMI participants. Online Ticket sales will end at 2:00 pm the day of the event.
