A Clarinet Choir is an ensemble consisting entirely of instruments from the clarinet family.   It can include Eb Soprano, Bb Soprano, Bass, Alto and Contrabass clarinets!  Groups can also be made up of just 4 Bb clarinets playing quartets or up to more than 40 players!  The sound is a wonderfully warm and has been described as being similar to a concert organ.

Theresa Hilton Dolak has been a devoted teacher in Connecticut for the last 20 years. She is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music where she studied with renowned teacher Leon Russianoff. She also studied under master teacher David Weber (Juilliard) from 1999-2002. Other teachers include Alay Woy (Crane) and Susan Martula. She currently is working with Madeline Bruser, author of The Art of Practicing, in New York City. Ms. Dolak currently teaches clarinet and chamber music at The Kent School, The Gunnery School, The Millbrook School, Duchess Day School, and maintains a private studio in her home in New Fairfield, Connecticut. She has also held positions at WCSU, Rumsey Hall School and Newtown High School. Her students have been accepted into CMEA Regionals, All State, and NAMFE All-Eastern Festivals as well as winning or placing in competitions such as Hartford Music Club, and the WCYO, Danbury, Ridgefield and Greenwich Symphony High School Competitions. Her students have been accepted to college music programs at The Juilliard School, Peabody Conservatory, Lawrence University, Boston University, Ithaca College, and Sunderman Conservatory. She has performed as soloist, orchestral and chamber musician, performing with the Talea Chamber Ensemble, Danbury Chamber Ensemble, Camerata Strings, WCSU Faculty Quintet/Quartet, Ridgefield Symphony, Danbury Symphony Orchestra, Berkshire Opera Orchestra, The Gateway-Candlewood Theatre and The Manhattan Clarinet Quartet.
