The Board of Directors of the Danbury Music Centre has adopted an Anti -Discrimination/ Anti-Harrassment Policy in order to provide a safe environment for all participants in the programs of the Danbury Music Centre, staff, volunteers and Board of Directors are required to sign our Anti-Discrimination/Anti-Harrassment Policy and Code of Conduct.
Signing of this form is mandatory to participate in our programs.

Anti-Discrimination/Anti-Harassment Policy and Code of Conduct
The Danbury Music Centre (DMC) strives to maintain a healthy, safe, and productive environment for the office employees and volunteers, and for all participants in programs or events sponsored by the DMC. This means that the DMC promotes an environment free from discrimination, whether based on race, ethnicity, color, religion or spiritual path, gender, sexual orientation/gender identity, national origin, genetics, disability, relationship status, or age.
In addition, the Danbury Music Centre is dedicated to providing a healthy, safe, and productive experience for all DMC employees and volunteers, and for participants in all programs or events sponsored by the DMC. The Danbury Music Centre will not tolerate harassment in any form by any DMC employee or volunteer, or program or event participant. The Danbury Music Centre will not tolerate sexual advances, actions, or comments; racial or religious slurs or jokes; or any other comments or conduct that, in the judgment of the Board of Directors of the Danbury Music Centre, creates, encourages, or permits an offensive or intimidating work environment.
Program or event participant violators may face action from the DMC up to and including being dismissed from the program or event without refund. In the case of an employee or volunteer violator, appropriate actions will be taken by the board, which may include dismissal. The Danbury Music Centre Board of Directors takes all complaints of harassment seriously. Please see the complete harassment policy (Attachment I) for details.
Other prohibited conduct, because of its adverse impact on the work, programming, or event environment, includes
Threats of or actual violent behavior
Possession of weapons of any type
Use, distribution, sale, or posession of illegal drugs or any controlled substance, except for approved medical purposes
Being under the influence of illegal drugs or controlled substances used for non-medical purposes
Evidence of impaired or inappropriate behavior associated with use of alcohol
